Top 5 Things I NEED from Lush

Hello Everyone,

So, I don't know about you, but I have been watching a lot of YouTube videos about Lush hauls, and now every time I'm at the shops, I automatically think... Do they have a Lush here? If you don't know what Lush it, click here to find out. I have a lush kinda close, but I never go in, because otherwise I would be broke for the next four weeks. So here is what I would get from lush:

Seanik Solid Shampoo Bar

I'm sorry, but isn't this the coolest idea ever? It's a soaps size solid shampoo. AND IT'S BLUE! It lasts up to 80 washes, and is only $13.95AU! It is a softening sea salt shampoo with jasmine, mimosa and orange blossom and contains Irish moss seaweed and Japanese nori seaweed and sea salt to leave your hair soft and full of body. If you want to get one, buy it here.

Cupcake Fresh Face Mask

This face mask, looks edible. And that's a good thing. I have seen this is the shop and it smells like heaven. If you love sweet scents, you will love this! It is for oily and teenage skin and it's action removes excess oil and calms breakouts. It's also $16.95AU, so now I need this. But who wouldn't say I'd eat it first.... If you want to get one, buy it here.

Baked Alaska Snowball Soap
Who doesn't want a soap that is rainbow, I mean, really? Why get plain white or cream when you can get RAINBOW. This is a part of the Christmas Collection, which sucks, but, at least this can get you ready for the holiday season. It is $6.50AU, which is a pretty good price. I am assuming it is a citrusy scent, because it says it is made with lemon myrtle, grape fruit and ylang ylang oil, which I have never heard of. If you want one, get one here.

Sparkle Toothy Tab
Ok, first of all, what in the world is a Toothy Tab? All I know, is that they don't have these at my local lush. It says no brush or tooth paste needed.... so how do you clean them? Someone please explain! I don't care about how you use them, I just want one! I think it would be super cool and interesting to try. It says that it makes teeth sparkle, so that must be good. If you want to get one, buy it here.

Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub

I may be a little obsessed with the colour blue, but oh well. This a shower scrub which exfoliates skin and leaves it smooth. The sea salt in the scrub really gets in there, and removes all dirt. The bonus about this is that it dissolves when put underwater, so it won't block up drains after use. AND IT'S BLUE! Uh, can't wait to go back to lush. If any of you want to buy it, click here

So now that I really want to go to lush even though it is like 8:00pm, thank you! I hope you enjoyed the blog post, and if you have any suggestions about what you recommend from lush or have any questions, feel free to shoot me a comment!

That's it for now....

What's in My Bag?

Hello!

I quite enjoy getting a sneak peak into other people stuff, and I mean that in the least stalker way possible. Bags are a thing that girls now a days always have, and every bag is filled with a unique bunch of necessity's. This is going to be the first of many 'What's in my Bag' blogs and I am excited to show you what is always in my bag. So here we go...

My bag is from a small shop in Cairns, although I'm not sure what the name is, although I fell in love when I saw it. It's really soft and the perfect size bag for me. It was fairly cheap as well costing $30.

The first item in my bag is the Athena Beaute, 3 in 1 facial cleansing wipes. I mentioned these in my previous blog, and I find them really great to wipe my hands or remove my makeup during the day etc...

The next item is the EOS lip balms. They are so so so so good! I have literally fallen in love and are really nourishing, moisturizing and contain no harsh chemicals. Oh and the smell.... well. They come in a range of scents and the one above (2nd object... green ball). The one shown to you is the scent honeydew/melon (I'm not sure), but it is by far my favourite all time balm. I got a set of four from Costco for about $12-$13

This scent is always in my bag, probably because it is so small and is the perfect travel size. It is perfect to just spritz all over. It's called the Sex in the City Light Blue Perfume and it came with a bunch of other lotions and sprays from the collection.

The next thing is my purse from Colette by Colette. It is so small, but yet can fit so many things. I find it great for school as it fits what I need and I can put it into any pocket or bag and it doesn't take up a lot of room. I paid around $12 for it which was a bargain, also really great quality.

As you guys may have already guessed, I LOVE reading, so I don't leave the house without my current book. At the moment I'm reading If I Stay and it is so far so so good. I will do a review when I have finished it. This is always in my bag, even when going to do the groceries.

Surprise surprise! You may have guessed that I would bring a stash of Mini Peanut Butter Cups, cause you know, they are my favourite. I did a rant about them in a previous blog, so check that out!

I don't know if I have an obsession with notebooks although I always have this little gem in my bag. this was actually given to me as a present and I think the cover is just so cute! I jot down important dates or ideas or strange thoughts. I also like to doodle if I have got free time or while doing an assessment piece or something as it helps me concentrate and really calms me when I'm stressed.

Yeah, so that is always in my bag. I hope you enjoy! Feel free to leave a comment or follow me and grow the so far non-existent community.

Thats's it for now...

Skin Care Routine!

Hello!

Believe it or not, looking after your skin is a necessity if you want to reduce signs of ageing, spots or any other unwanted skin conditions. I was struggling for ideas for a blog post, and I found that I really enjoy reading other peoples skin care routines and just seeing what helps them clear their skin; so I hope you enjoy reading mine.

DISCLAIMER:
The products I show might work for me, but might not necessarily work for you....

The first thing I do is remove my makeup or anything left on my face with a makeup wipe. Mine are the Athena Beauty 3 in 1 facial cleansing wipes from chemist warehouse and were $4 for a pack of 3.  These are enriched with Aloe Vera and are super soft and don't sting eyes or sensitive skin.

If I am in a pamper mood, I use the Natio Clay and Plan Face Mask Purifier, It is such a nice way to relax and it really clears up the skin if you get the odd hormonal breakout like me. It is a creamy consistency and is great for sensitive skin.

The next thing I use is the Proactive 3 step system. I use the cleaner, toner and moisturizer and I find a noticeable difference in the next 4 days, although I do not recommend this product if you have sensitive skin as it has a lot of chemicals, although it works for me, so I continue using it. The cleanser has these little beads that really exfoliate the skin, although don't rub too hard. The toner is a nice, really soft toner and it feels just so refreshing when applied. The moisturizer sinks into the skin quickly, although if you have sensitive skin, it may sting for about 20 minutes.

I like to apply a serum when going to bed, just so my skin can be all nice and ready for the day ahead. I use the Lancome Primordiale Skin Defence. I'm not sure if it is a serum, but it feels and looks like one.... Also I couldn't find a link anywhere, but there are other very affordable skin serums on the market.... just shop around!

For an all round body moisterize, I use the Coconut scented body lotion from Smith Street Markets. It by far my favourite body/skin product as it smells so so so so good! I couldn't find a link for this one either, but I think it was from coles???? Have to check that one out for you all.

And last but not least, I use the Dr Lewinns Hand and Nail Cream. I like to use a hand cream so I can avoid dry hands. They are super moisturizing and sink into the skin quickly as well which is a plus.

So that's it for now. If you have any products worth talking about, shoot me a comment and start the conversation.

Byeee!

Going Away? What do I bring?

I'm sure now that it is holidays for most people in Australia, and I bet some lucky ones are going away? When I'm about to go away, I often think 'But what products should you bring? What do I need? Would I need this?' I know the hassle, so this is what I would take away on break.

Make-up:
If your going to be in a hotel or going to the beach or the city, I understand that sometimes, makeup is just a hassle. I'm sure we've all gone away with your entire makeup collection and you know you won't need it, but yet, 'just in case...' pops into your head and then you have to shove it all into your bag and it won't fit. So, I always pack:

Paper Me Pretty on the go Mattifier Sheets: This product, created by the Mary-Kate and Ashley line, is a must have. It is basically a packet the size of your palm and inside is a blue, almost crape paper texture, which you can just wipe all over your face. Powder, what power? It is almost like blotting paper, and it's great to just shove into your pocket on the go and school. They also come in a range of other sheets like blush, just swipe and go.

Maybelline Baby Lips Coloured Lip Balms:  Yeah, so these are a favourite of mine. I'm sure we have all heard of them, but the good thing about the coloured ones, is that they moisturize your lips and add a colour, which means you don't have to pack a lipstick, lip gloss and a lip balm. All in one handy tube. They come in a range of colours and are really affordable. I love these because they are long lasting and provide a great colour to your lips.

Eye shadow Palettes: When traveling, I recommend to take one, yes one, small palette of assorted natural eye shadows. I don't have a link, as people have eye shadows that they prefer and I'm one that likes only one and stick with one. Natural eye shadows are nice as they can be doubled up and can be worn in so many ways. I recommend finding one that has a range of light to dark colours so that can double up as highlight or eyeliner. The one I take is one by Elizabeth Arden, although I don't know the name of it as the label has worn off due to me using it and taking it everywhere. It is so handy.

Clothes:
Yes, clothes. I understand the pain. Will it be cold, will it be hot, will I go swimming, will it rain, will we be going out to dinner? So here is what I would take with me for those 'just in case...' moments:

A Scarf. You might be like, but I'm not going to the snow? Yes, but scarfs can be so handy, no matter what the situation. I would recommend finding one that's a bit wider, so it can be a simple day scarf, then switch it to go over your shoulders and act as a throw over. If you watch Michelle Phan's video that she made on other uses for scarfs, you can see that they are super handy.

Bed socks: Is it just me or do my feet always get cold? So bed socks are the perfect solution. You can just slip them on and forget, not to mention the awesome skids you can do on wooden floors. I always pack them cause, you never know? I find that when my feet get cold, I can't sleep, then if I can't sleep, I'm grumpy, and if I'm grumpy, well.... It's not pretty.

Entertainment:
If you are camping in the middle of no where, or your catching a plane, guess what that means? No WiFi, no service, no YouTube, no Facebook, no Twitter. For some that's a bore, so here is somethings I recommend to pass the time.

Good Book: Books are a must have, in case it's raining, or you can't get to bed or just to do something on the trip to or from. I can't leave anywhere without a book, so at the moment I'm reading If I Stay by Gayle Forman, which is so far really good. Yes, I am kinda late to jump on the band wagon, but hey, no one cares... do they?

Notebook: You know, just to scribble in. I like to take them away with me just in case I remember or think of something, so I can take note, recount my day and to just scribble in if I'm bored.

So yeah, that's it for now. I have noticed a few more people are reading my blog, which is nice and just so great to know that people are reading the content I write. So please stay tuned.... that would be a nice. If you are going anywhere exciting now or soon, tell me in the comments!

That's it for now...

Book Update ALERT!

So I finished a book recently, the perfect way to start the holidays. I find it so relaxing and rejuvenating to really kick start the break. I read Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Leviathan.

I have never read a book by two authors and I found it... interesting. As you may have already guessed, I love John Green, but I'd never read or heard of David's books before this one. And to my surprise, I might have to check out some of his books.

I enjoyed the book quite a lot, both sides written very well. I'm guessing rule abiding Will Grayson was written by John? And dark and mysterious Will Grayson written by David? Am I correct? Not entirely sure. If I had to ask a question to the authors, may they please explain why dark and mysterious Will's sides were all written with no capitals, or maybe it's just my copy, I know there would be some meaning for it.

The book is about two teens—both named Will Grayson—are about to cross paths. As their worlds collide and intertwine, the Will Graysons find their lives going in new and unexpected directions, building toward romantic turns-of-heart and the epic production of history’s most fabulous high school musical.

The books bring up interesting and thought provoking ideas such as being gay, friendship and mental problems. I think this book has taught me a lot about relationships and the definition of Gay in our society and the meaning of true friendship. I really enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone in high school or around teen age, well obviously, cause it's a young adult book, but still....

So, yeah, that's my take of this book. If you have read the book or want to know more, let me know in the comments. What were your ideas? Anyways, that's it for now.

Cheers

5 Things I CAN NOT Handle!

Everyone has something in life that they can't handle, find really annoying or just don't like. Whether that being the constant partying next door or looking at someone else's toes! Whatever grosses you out, tell me in the comments. Today, lets chat about the 5 things I can't stand.

So, without further a do....

1. When you buy a choc chip muffin and there is only one choc chip! Oh my, this frustrates me so much! Whether you buy it from a store or bake it from scratch, it always frustrates me; and it always seems to be me who gets the unlucky one. You know that you tipped the entire bag of choc chips into the batter, yet when scooping the batter into pans, that one muffin decides to be a pain. First world problems....

2. Birds. Is there anything else I need to say. I am sorry if you are a bird lover, but every experience I have had with birds was not pleasant. Worst ones are Magpies. They swoop and you know they are coming cause you put you see a shadow, you put hands over your head and peer from underneath your hands which act as a crappy barrier. But does that stop it... NO. They swoop again and again, as if the first time didn't scare me enough!

3. Those people that ask you for a hair tie. We all know that if you give someone your hair tie, you will never get it back. I understand if you were doing your hair and the tie snapped, I'll lend one then, but those girls that constantly snap it or just want a massive stash of secret hair ties, Na Uh, you ain't gonna get one of my hair ties, cause I know that I will never get it back.

4. When your hair is freshly shampooed and conditioned, and it will not cooperate. Story of my life (insert one direction song). I hate it, when you get out of the shower, let your hair air dry, go to bed, wake up, attempt to do your hair for school and..... your hair won't stay, won't hold, bits will be flying every where, one piece, and I'm meaning one piece, comes out of the hair style and you have to start all over again! And you want to add the gel or hairspray, but if you are anything like me, I want to reduce the amount of times I have to wash my hair during the week, so I really don't want to be adding in more junk that I will have to wash out in 8 hours time anyway.

5. When the computer freezes. Is it just me, or do I have the most crappiest computer in the world? So I've been working on an assignment all day, saved it every hour or whenever I remember, and I am almost done or have written this important part or have just have written something that is pure genius, and my computer decides to just give up and go into melt down. I find it so frustrating, especially when you don't know what is going on and you are doing everything you possibly can for the computer to work again and regain those hopefully not lost files.

So yeah, that's my rant. If you can relate, we are one of the same kind. Anyways, that's it for now.

Cheers.

Books to help YOU get back into reading!

So lets just say, I've read a lot of books. Today's blog will be about books that I recommend to those who are finding their way back into reading or for those who are stuck for ideas of what to read next (which is often my case). Tell me what your favorite books are and give me your boook recommendations!

So without further a do.....

1. I'm going to start with one of my favorite authors, which I have talked about in my last blog. John Green. What a guess? I've read all of his books and he has never failed me. So I thought this might have been a good choice. The book I recommend is the young adult novel, Paper Towns. It is one of his more recent ones with an incredible plot. If you are into mystery, adventure and road trips, this is for you. Note: There is a little bit of romance, if that is not your type. It's personally an all round great book with a bit of everything that would please the everyday reader. It's a story of a high school, nerdy boy named Q and his uber-cool, unpredictable next door neighbor Margo. Margo decided to disappear randomly one day and she has left clues for Q to find her. Margo is in one place for twenty four hours and Q and his friends have to go and find her.

2. The next one is not a standard novel, I'd say more graphic amazingness! If you already don't know, it is The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick. This book took my about an hour to read, but boy, it was amazing. Almost every page is filled with sketches and beautifully detailed artworks that blow minds. It is such a lovely book to keep and is definitely one that people would cherish for years to come. It is even a good story book to read to a children and is such a good book that everyone can enjoy. If you are into amazing, detailed drawings, suspense and family entertainment. This is for you. Actually, this book is for EVERYONE! Just go buy/borrow it and read it now!

3. This one I read a long time ago, so this will really test my brain, but otherwise a great book. I read the children version when I was around ten and loved it. There is also an adult version that I yet have to read. It is called Mao's Last Dancer. It is the autobiography of Li Cunxin, a Chinese male ballet dancer that came to America to work with the American Ballet. It is such an inspiring, great read that really opens eyes and shows the life of this magnificent person. As I was a dancer at the time, I could relate to the book and it was just such a great way to introduce me to reading full on novels. I recommend this book if like dance, autobiographies and different peoples points of view. Such a great read!

That's it for now. Happy Reading! :)

Cheers
